I’ve been dealing with this topic in my mind for sometime now and I thought maybe I should talk about it .

We get so busy in the daily lives that we don’t slow down and recharge our body, mind, and soul. Life sometimes can be so stressful and difficult we don’t care for ourselves like we should everything goes neglected.

How can we be at our best if we are functioning on fumes and not taking the time to care for our well-being . It’s very important to take some time out to just relax, recharge, and revive ourselves to be at our best and to think about the things that are really important.

One thing that I feel strongly about is having a good attitude and practicing gratitude in our life taking time to smell the roses and putting the important things in perspective making things a lot simpler.

The key to a happy balance life

I’m a person that has always tried to find balance in my life and I struggled with this because I’m always trying to do everything. I guess that’s one of the characteristics of my zodiac sign, I’m a Libra and they need balance.

Self-Care Awareness

It’s good to just take time to have a day of beauty with hair, makeup, a mani-pedi, facial, etc.

Book an appointment at the spa for a massage, or an in-home spa treatment. Take time to exercise, yoga or anything that helps you wind down and reflect.

Emotional self-care is taking time to check in with ourselves monitoring our triggers and what we feel and not letting it bottle up inside. A way to release emotions is through journaling, meditation and sometimes we need therapy to just talk.

Spiritual Self-Care when we are nourishing our soul and feeding our mind with positive energy. We are getting in tune with God or your higher power. Whatever you believe in our souls needs that worship and fulfillment.

Intellectual Self-Care is expanding and feeding our minds learning from reading books, magazines, listening to podcast, and watching documentaries that will help us grow as a person. Being open to growth. Expanding our knowledge could be learning a new skill to see what kind of things we are good at.

Healthy Self-Care is the most crucial part of taking care of our bodies and how we treat it and what we are depositing inside .It’s important that we are eating fruits and vegetables and drinking plenty of water to keep our bodies hydrated. Practicing portion control, our diets and not overeating, drinking alcoholic beverages in moderation, Scheduling our annual visits to the doctor to keep track and stay up to date on our health.

Time Management

This is a topic that I fall short on balancing my life when it comes to managing my time correctly.

I love to plan things but one thing I know to eliminate any unnecessary stress is to plan early and take a few minutes before to allow yourself that extra time for any changes that may come. This would include planning for an event, meals, wardrobe, or just staying on top of things around the home so you won’t be doing things at the very last minute. You will be so relieved later.

Relationships

This is something I’m sure we can fall short on making time for the things that matter most. Taking time for family and friends and cultivating relationships that we have and sometimes creating new memories with new people. We get so busy we put aside the ones that have been there from day one, especially if they are great relationships. I’m sure we can learn this just by witnessing the recent loss of Kobe and Gianna Bryant how your here today and gone today. It’s important to call and do a check-in with the people that are special to you.

Now, I’m not saying to keep the toxic people in your life because they are not depositing positive energy in your life. Surround yourself with people that you can learn, enhance and uplift each other. You have the power to create a wonderful circle.

Finally,

This post is pretty common but sometimes we need a reminder of the things we forget to do.

Until the next time
