I’ve been on a mission to tour all of the seven continents and I just visited my fifth continent this past week. It’s been a fantasy to experience the down under, and it was definitely a vacation of a lifetime.
Australia is such an incredible location to explore. It’s full of amazing landscapes, history and wonderful wildlife .
It’s a great place to visit for the first time and also for return visits.
I had an amazing time in each city that I visited. The three-city tour included Cairns, Sydney and Melbourne.
I loved it so much the Aussies were extremely friendly and very helpful. Everyone appeared to be so happy. Melbourne was voted the best liveable city for the fifth year in a row.
Australia seems to have it all, great wages to live on, great things to experience, and great food. Why would you want to live anywhere else when you have it all?
Ready for an adventure down under?

Cairns, Australia
This is a tropical paradise and it reminded me of Florida but nicer. The ocean was so clear and pristine the landscapes of the mountains, beaches, and the foliage had breathtaking views, the colors of the ocean were so beautiful to see in person it was unbelievable.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the planets extraordinary natural wonders.
It was amazing to see the world’s largest coral reef system right before my eyes.
The colored tropical fish that I saw was a beautiful experience. It’s something you only see in the magazine.

I did a little semi snorkeling ( lol)

Fresh Seafood from the Ocean

I stepped out of my comfort zone when trying new foods. We tried a fresh seafood restaurant to enjoy the experience

We also did an Aboriginal cultural dinner excursion with the Aboriginal people.

Sydney, Australia
Sydney is a cosmopolitan city that reminds me of Chicago Illinois. The Sydney Harbour is an aquatic playground of roughly 240 kilometers of sandy shorelines of pristine beaches, lovely gardens and a swath of natural gardens.
The Sydney Harbour is also the home to Australia’s big-name attractions, The Sydney Opera House including the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
There’s so much to do here and you’re trying to figure out where do I start. I was disappointed that the nightlife wasn’t very appealing since everything closes up early.
If you were looking for a dinner spot you should get there early because after seven o’clock mostly fast-food restaurants were the only place to eat other than China Town.
We had a full day planned that started with whale watching.
Boy was that an experience……. You must have patience doing something like this. We were sitting in the middle of an ocean waiting to spot a whale.
Whales are a very intelligent species and exciting to actually see one. It was a rough ride getting there. People were getting sick but I managed to hold on.

We explored the city by water and the hop on and off bus.

The Skyline view from the Sydney Tower

Melbourne, Australia
This is a metropolitan city that has everything you need. It gives you the New York City Vibe. It’s bursting with eclectic culture and unique sights. There are tons of free things to do a very walkable city.
I only had two days so I tried to make the most of it. I didn’t do an excursion because I wanted to get a feel for the local life. So I freelanced all day long, but it’s definitely worth the trip back here.

My Conclusion
Australia is a continent that is amazingly beautiful. You can explore it on a short version as I did, it so much to see and do it’s impossible to get it done in a weeks time.
But it really was a teaser for me. It kept me wanting more wishing I could have stayed longer, but it also gives me the opportunity to come back to see more things and even visit more countries. New Zealand and Figi are three hours away, so that gives me a chance to see even more if I plan accordingly.
It’s definitely a must-see!

Until the next time
Good Day Mate🇦🇺
